Proposal for an amendment to a Breed Standard

Requests to amend a breed standard may only be made by the Secretary of a breed club or council.

The following information must be provided below:

  1. Detail of the proposed new wording
  2. A commentary as to why changes to each clause are felt to be necessary
  3. Documentary evidence that the proposed changes have been passed by the membership of the society(s)/Council in a General Meeting, prior notice of the proposed changes having been circulated to all members. All registered societies within a breed should have approved the proposed changes

Breed societies are advised to contact the relevant Group representative on the Breed Standards Committee for guidance on the submission of proposed amendments. Please email the team.
