Administrator – Breed Shows Team – 6 month contract
Canine Activities Department

The Breed Shows Team is responsible for facilitating the processes that supports dog shows. As an Administrator you will provide secretarial and administrative support for the Breed Shows Team, the team is responsible for monitoring Kennel Club Regulations and liaising with competitors, judges and competition organisers.

Your role will be to co-ordinate administration activities for the team with particular emphasis on Permission to show approval and correspondence, judge opinion letters to Clubs and collation of responses, checking Judging list of potential judges, missing critique investigations and processing nomination forms for existing judges

The ideal candidate will have a good level of administration experience, proven database experience and strong IT skills including Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.  Excellent written and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.  Excellent organisation skills and a grasp of the English language are essential. You will be confident and comfortable working on your own initiative as well as assisting the team as required. Knowledge of the canine world is desirable, plus an interest in dogs as you will be dealing with a range of people from the canine world on a daily basis. It is essential therefore that you are also an effective and confident communicator.
