Breeds Liaison Council meeting cancelled

The Kennel Club Liaison Council (KCLC) Breeds Council meeting due to be held on 6 November 2019 has been cancelled. Although discussion items were received, these could be dealt with by the office or referred to other departments for their consideration.
Ten finalists chosen for Crufts Junior Warrant final

The Kennel Club Junior Warrant Winner of the Year competition semi-finals took place this weekend at London’s biggest dog event, Discover Dogs at ExCeL London, with 61 top young dogs competing for just ten places in the final, which will be held at Crufts 2020.

Thousands of dog lovers visited the Kennel Club’s Discover Dogs event over the weekend, securing the show as London’s biggest dog event. Over 30,000 people attended the two-day event over 12th and 13th October 2019 at ExCeL London to find the right breed for their lifestyle.

UK Agility Team GB win bronze medal at Agility World Championships

New DNA testing scheme for the Saluki

The search is on again for UK's top dog hero for national award

Kennel Club limits ‘hereditary clear’ status to support eradication of health conditions

From January 2022, the Kennel Club will limit the assignment of ‘hereditary clear’ status of registered dogs to two generations. This change will be put in place to safeguard against the impact that dogs with an incorrect ‘hereditary clear’ status could have on health issues within a breed.
