Siouxline Aaron JW, a Miniature Smooth-Haired Dachshund owned by Sue Ergis, from Poole in Dorset, has won the Junior Warrant Winner of the Year competition final at Crufts 2016, the world's biggest and best dog show.
Siouxline Aaron JW, who is nearly two, has had a great start to his dog show career, winning the Junior Warrant, an award for pedigree dogs from the ages of 6 to 18 months which have won a series of first prizes at both Open and Championship dog shows.
Owner, Sue Ergis, said: "This is our third Junior Warrant win now and I really am thrilled. Aaron is a very showy dog; he loves to show and he never lets me down, bless his little cotton socks."
Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary said: "What a fabulous achievement - we know there is a bright future ahead of Siouxline Aaron as he clearly loves being in the ring. He is vibrant, happy and healthy and clearly has a great relationship with Sue.
"The Junior Warrant is one of the highest levels of success for young pedigree dogs and we have seen lots of fantastic dogs take part this year. I am sure we will see them again at Crufts in years to come."
The Junior Warrant Winner of the Year competition is held annually and is for dogs which have gained the title of Junior Warrant during the previous year. There were then 12 heats held throughout the UK in 2015, with five dogs and a reserve selected by the judge at each of the heats. These dogs were then invited to the semi-finals at the Kennel Club's Eukanuba Discover Dogs event at ExCeL London, where ten finalists were selected to compete at Crufts.
Second place in the competition went to Keeshond Neradmik All About The Boy For Watchkees JW, owned by Mrs M Harris.
