Capsule exhibition dedicated to contemporary artist opens at the Kennel Club Art Gallery

Former YKC member, Amelia Siddle, to exhibit her collection from 16th May

A capsule exhibition by contemporary artist Amelia Siddle will open this week, at the Kennel Club Art Gallery on 16th May.

The collection, which will be on display in the foyer of the gallery, will run until 28th June and will feature an assortment of Amelia’s bronze sculptures and preparatory drawings of dogs, which capture the movement and vitality of the breeds they depict.

Amelia, a former member of the Young Kennel Club for over a decade, grew up in East Devon surrounded by Pointers whom she credits as her muses and inspiration behind her work.

Speaking about her exhibition, Amelia said: “I knew from a young age that I wished to pursue a career in art and for as long as I can remember I have sketched, drawn and based the entirety of my work around dogs and animals.

“I feel completely privileged and honoured to have been given the opportunity to exhibit at the Kennel Club.”

The Kennel Club Art Gallery, based in Mayfair, is open to all and free to visit by appointment. Visiting hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am-4.30pm. To book an appointment or for more information please contact the Kennel Club Art Gallery on 020 7518 1064 or email our Art Gallery.
