Glasgow North West MP's dog wins Westminster Dog of the Year 2019 'Paw-blic' vote

There were celebrations in Glasgow today as Jean, a five-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Collie cross, belonging to Carol Monaghan, MP for Glasgow North West, emerged victorious after being voted for by the public in the annual Westminster Dog of the Year competition’s ‘paw-blic’ vote category.
Over 3,000 dogs race to Rockingham to take part in the world's largest agility festival

The Kennel Club International Agility Festival will host over 3,000 dogs from across the globe as they head to Rockingham Castle this summer for the world’s largest agility festival, taking place from 8th – 11th August 2019.
Intermediate Agility qualifiers confirmed

The Kennel Club has announced that dogs measured into intermediate for agility will be able to compete in Kennel Club qualifiers from January 2020.
Success for young agility handler and dog at European Open Junior Championships 2019

Tariq, a Border Collie, and her owner, 10-year-old Taylor Lyon from Northamptonshire took 4th place in the Large Under 12 Individual competition at the European Open Junior Agility Championships in Switzerland, which took place between the 12th-14th July.
Changes to regulations in relation to event licences

With immediate effect from 1 July 2019, event licence applications, whether for a show, trial or other competition, will cease to refer to ‘guarantors’. Instead, whenever a licence fee is paid for an event, the individual making the application on behalf of the club or society will agree that the officers and committee in place at the time of the event will assume full responsibility for ensuring that it will be conducted safely and in accordance with Kennel Club regulations.
Winners of Europe's most prestigious veterinary awards revealed

The International Canine Health Awards, organised by the Kennel Club Charitable Trust, were held on Thursday 30th May at the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor. The winners were given prize money to further their work in the field of canine research, underwritten by a major gift from Vernon and Shirley Hill of Metro Bank.
