The Kennel Club has announced that the new and improved Find a Show/Trial service is now available online.
The new Find a Show/Trial service will now include listings for field trials and companion dog shows, alongside all licensed events for agility, Bloodhound working trials, dog shows, heelwork to music, obedience, rally and working trials.
As well as the addition of the new activities, ‘Find a Show’ will also include an 'add to calendar' function so particular shows can easily be added to personal calendars via desktops and mobiles. Each show profile will be enhanced with approved Championship show/trial judges and a link to the judge’s profile on Find a Judge to easily reference a judge’s previous judging history.
The popular general and group championship show list, which was previously only available as a PDF, will also be merged into the new Find a Show/Trial service to bring everything together and enable exhibitors to easily access up-to-date information as changes happen in The Kennel Club’s live system. Coming soon will be a further new option which will include general and group open shows when searching by breed; previously this search was only possible for championship shows and breed club shows.
Kathryn Mansfield, The Kennel Club Secretary said: “We hope that those exhibiting and competing at Kennel Club licensed events will find this new service valuable in making decisions about which shows and trials to attend.
“We apologise for the delay in relaunching this popular service whilst all the popular functionality such as searching by date, location and activity were developed. The additional enhancements we have now included ensure all activities are provided with the same level of service.
“Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the data is accurate and up-to-date, the service reflects what show and trial societies have provided. Should anything be incorrect, an online form has been set up to enable show and trial organisers to contact our dedicated team who are on hand to resolve these as quickly as possible.
“We hope that this improved functionality on our website is of benefit to our customers and we look forward to receiving feedback.”
