Agility winners crowned at London International Horse Show with some qualifying for Crufts

With several winners also securing a place at Crufts 2025

Dogs and handlers have been crowned in a number of agility competitions hosted by The Kennel Club at The London International Horse Show, which took place from 18-22 December. The event showcased the skill and teamwork of dogs and their handlers, with winners awarded across ten competitions. Several of these winners have also secured their place at Crufts 2025, taking place in March.  

The London International Horse Show, held at ExCeL London from 18–22 December, featured the highly anticipated Kennel Club Agility Stakes finals, sponsored by Skinner’s. Renowned as some of the most prestigious agility competitions globally, the finals brought together the year’s top-performing dogs and their owners, who competed in five categories: small, medium, large, intermediate, and large ABC (Anything but Collie).  

The winners of The Kennel Club Agility Stakes, held in the International Arena, were:

  • Small – Martin Reid with his Shetland Sheepdog, Ag Ch Get It With Eager To Work (Selfie), from Leamington Spa.
  • Intermediate – Naarah Cuddy with her Border Collie, Runbye Goin Bananas (Banana), from Leamington Spa.
  • Large – Dalton Meredith with his Border Collie, Ag Ch Fandabidozi Eclipse Of Dust (Eclipse).
  • Large ABC – Connie Sellers-Lane with her Labrador Retriever, Jonanelle Delta Queen (Remi), from Gloucestershire.
  • Medium – Liz Carpenter with her crossbreed, Ag Ch Moseleywood Maggie AW(P) (Maggie), from Wiltshire.

The New Horizons Plastics London Arena saw the exciting Crufts semi-finals, sponsored by Agria, with dogs putting their best paw forward to gain a spot in the final, held at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts, in March 2025.  

The winners of the Crufts Semi-Finals were:

  • Medium Novice ABC – Michael Green with his Cocker Spaniel, Tuftihed Born To Be Wild (Bebe) from Southampton.
  • Intermediate Novice ABC – Sabina Wallace-King with her Retriever, Decoymans Piper Jack Flash AW(G) (Mac), from Durham.
  • Large Novice ABC – Gemma Miles with her Belgian Shepherd (Malinois), Sheeza Dark Deity (Nyx), from Derbyshire.

The New Horizons Plastics London Arena also hosted the finals of the Discover Dogs Small/Mixi Pairs Challenge and The Kennel Club Starters Cup.  

The winners of The Kennel Club Starters Cup Final were:

  • Small – Sarah McLean with her Cocker Spaniel, Soxnizz Twix Of Fate (Twix), from Cheshire.
  • Medium – Brian Hair with his Cocker Spaniel, Devongem Shadow Chaser (Sonic), from Bolton.
  • Intermediate – Lisa Bailey, with her Border Collie, Newbold Esme At Castomya (Esme), from Basildon.
  • Large – Abs Whittington with her Border Collie, Make a Dash For It (Dash), from Godshill.

The winners of the Discover Dogs Small/Mixi Pair Challenge Final were:

  • Bryony McDonald with her Working Cocker Spaniel, Spritzig Playing With Fire (Flikka) from Peterborough, and Laura Warwick with her Cocker Spaniel, Midnight Transience (Sakura), from Nuneaton.
