Agility stars crowned at Crufts

The Kennel Club Singles Agility winners have been crowned at this year’s Crufts, which toom place on Friday 7 March, in the large, intermediate, medium and small dog finals, sponsored by YuMOVE.

In front of the crowds at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts, the four competitors from Warwickshire and Yorkshire won after competing in their height category against three large, two intermediate, three medium and three small dogs in the agility final.

Singles Agility Large and Intermediate

Naarah Cuddy from Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, celebrated double success at Crufts, taking home wins in both the large and intermediate finals.

Naarah and her Border Collie, Lemon, claimed victory in The Kennel Club Singles Agility Large Final, while her Border Collie, Banana, secured the top spot in The Kennel Club Singles Agility Intermediate Final.

An overjoyed Naarah said: "It's amazing and unbelievable. I'm a bit speechless at the moment. They were both really attentive and listened really well today especially."

Singles Agility Medium

Baileys, a Cocker Spaniel, and owner, Jesus Fernandez Crespo from Spain, won The Kennel Club Singles Agility Medium Final.

Delighted owner Jesus said: “Crufts is a dream that reignites every time I step on that field. It is history, adrenaline, and pride all wrapped into one. There’s no greater trophy than winning in front of my children, sharing this incredible journey with them. If I get the chance to come back, I’ll be there fighting once again. Thank you, Baileys, for making it possible.”

Singles Agility Small

Selfie, a Shetland Sheepdog, and owner, Martin Reid, from Leamington Spa, won The Kennel Club Singles Agility Small Final.

Thrilled owner Martin, said: “It feels really great. It's the first time in this event; she's won two other classes in the last two years but in a different event so it's really nice to do it in the singles. It was a really good competition as well so it's great to get it done.”

To compete at Crufts, the winners had either qualified by gaining points at heats held at Kennel Club licensed shows throughout the country or through gaining a first place in the special international final at The Kennel Club International Agility Festival, in August 2024.
