YKC Obedience Training Day

Venue: Whixall Social Center, Church lane, Whixall, SY13 2NA

Start: 9am registration - start at 9:30am

Levels: Competition Obedience : All levels welcome

YKC Members:

Open to all YKC Members aged 6-24 years. If the member is under 18 years of age, then one accompanying parent/guardian must attend at no charge.  Must be a fully paid-up member to attend. 

Dogs: Dogs must be 6 months old and above

Cost: £30 per member

Extra Information:

There will be two one to one 15 minutes sessions during the day, there will be group work along with observation of other handlers.  This will allow the dogs to rest and members to gain knowledge of the sport.

This training day is a great opportunity for handlers who are interested in trying a new sport or for handlers who would like to broaden their skills

The day is limited to 12 handlers, if this day is fully booked then a day may be run on Sunday 24th.

Facilities at the Venue:

• Toilets
• Hot water, and hot drinks (at a small donation)
• Car parking and a exercisers area.
• It will be one dog in the hall at a time to prevent distractions and allow of lead training

Dog Welfare 

• Dogs must be at least 6 months old to attend this training session

• Dogs must be on a lead unless training requires them to be off lead

• No person shall carry out harsh handling of their dog at any time during the event 

• No dog that has contracted or been knowingly exposed to any infectious or contagious disease during the 21 days prior to the event, or which is suffering from a visible condition that adversely affects its health or welfare is to be brought to the event

• Please make sure you clear up after your dog at the venue

• If the member is under 18 years of age, then one accompanying parent/guardian must stay onsite
